Jesus Christ Post For The Love Of Fuck

Well, I thought that I might as well post due to the fact that nobody does, even though I know you're still alive. So I'm sitting in English class, which is just the most fantabulous class of life, and I'm thoroughly enjoying our CONSTANT DISCUSSIONS ON NATIVE RIGHTS.

Anyway, I hope everyone did well on their midterms, and all that jazz - people here don't tend to do very well, it seems. Everyone is going to drop chem, and even though I did good on the midterm I'm thinking that perhaps I will switch into engineering. If I can do this and not add another year onto my degree I'll consider it - this means I'll be going to Dal in two years, and may even have to do a summer course at SMU if I cannot get my courses in..... Omg I'm potentially goin' to SMU! (Keep in mind this is very much in plan stage right now so before you go telling everyone Alex is dropping chem and transferring to SMU, don't.)

Jess Baer came to visit last weekend, and it was an interesting time - that is all I'm going to say. Let's just say that there was an Engineering kegger and that everyone in my rez had a bad night. It was good to see an old bud and all that fun stuff. University had been quite a wild ride, so any essence of normalcy is greatly appreciated.

So back on the topic of this English class, we just spend like half an hour trying to get a 20 second clip to play. And then when it did play, nobody could hear it. Woot. I love these ten minute presentations - the first two hours of them were slow, but now that we're entering hour three I think my interest is peaking. Who knew that Coyote was such an influential figurehead in Native Spirituality? Who could have guessed that people on reserves form a "close-knit community"? This next presentation is on "Native Myth vs Christianity", and I think we all know who the clear victor is......... That's right, me, for getting to experience yet another amazing presentation.

(At this point, I'm just rambling, because I have absolutely nothing else to do.)

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed, but I guess it's Halloween, although it doesn't feel like it because this is the first year I haven't gone trick-or-treating.

Well, I just decided I need a break from Acadia, so if any of you people who read this live far away and are willing to put up with me for a few days and provide food and/or adventure, let me know. And woah, Brent you are totally coming to Amherst for Remembrance Day, because we need to celebrate your 19th FUCKING BIRTHDAY!!! Congrats bud.

This is all for now, I suppose. As my life will surely be thrown into turmoil with the next round of midterms, perhaps I will be able to take time and post during my English classes.

Love Alex.

(The picture is us heading out to.... I don't remember. Homecoming Party I think. And yes, I have gotten fat, and yes, I am chewing on a shoe.)
